About your chosen piece:

The upcycled nature means that the article of clothing carries a story and character from their previous life, and minor flaws, rips, or stains can be embraced as part of their unique history.

The sustainable approach not only promotes eco-friendliness but also makes each piece a conversation starter.

MEET THE FOUNDER- MARIBEL GARCIA

With a degree in Fashion Retail Management from the Art Institute, I set out to create a brand that defies the fast fashion cycle—a brand that doesn’t rely on fleeting trends or blend into the endless sea of sameness.

From the beginning, I was determined to craft something artistic, timeless, unique, and sustainable. Long before MuiCui Collections was born, I was captivated by the beauty of Indian quilts and fabrics. The colors, symbols, and rich traditions held a deep spiritual meaning for me. When I discovered Kantha—a sustainable craft that breathes new life into old clothing—I knew I had found the perfect medium for my vision.

After immersing myself in the history and tradition of Kantha, I began creating designs that embodied its genius and sustainability. These designs weren’t just garments; they were wearable stories. When I first brought them to market, the response was incredible. Other vibrant, unique individuals saw in my work what I had poured into it—a commitment to artistry, individuality, and a brighter future for fashion.

That’s how Mui Cui Collections came to life—a celebration of creativity, culture, and sustainability.
